Commercial fishermen are cowboys. Yep, in so many ways. Their lives are dependent on their critters (salmon, etc.), the weather, economic trends, and above all their horses, i.e., boats. They face danger and adverse conditions daily, heart-inspiring panoramic views, and the pressure of providing for the family and community. They are fiercely courageous and independent, and will help anyone in danger or need. They are the salt of the earth.
